We think a good human life is about spirituality and religion.

Spiritual Life

We think a good human life is about spirituality and religion. Contemplation and action. Peace and presence. For us, the human spiritual journey includes peak experiences, yes, but also worship, learning, praying, and helping.

Do you love to learn? Do you have questions you’d like to ask about God, the Bible, or Jesus? We believe faith and doubt go together, and we don’t ask you to check your brain at the door.

We love to engage our minds, and so we offer book reading groups and other opportunities to study scripture and learn together. We also regularly have speakers come to our community room where you can bring your friends, have a cup of joe, and hear something interesting.

If you want to find out more about what we’re learning right now, check out our calendar and call our office at (941) 792-5990 to sign up.

Doesn’t social media feel plastic sometimes? As if every other person out there is living a grand life? We know that’s not true. We’ve all got troubles. But you don’t have to put on a brave face with us.

Bring your real self to our community and we’ll help you lift up your concerns to the One who can hold them with you. We take praying seriously. And yes, we believe prayer does something good.

Come to worship on Sunday and join us in prayer.

Everybody needs help sometimes. We want to be the helpers whenever we can, and we’d love for you to help us do that too.

We collect food for Our Daily Bread and serve meals there sometimes. We’ve also got a posse of women who knit prayer shawls and prayer squares so we can give them away. And others who stuff blessing bags to give a small lift to folks on the street.

When we find a family that can’t afford Christmas gifts, we’ll use our resources to rain down love. Or we’ll give a helping hand to a single mother just trying to get ahead and raise her kids. We may not be in the category of “super rich,” but we try to use the gifts we have to help others.

Friendship

You belong here.

Let’s face it, as adults it’s hard to make new friends.

Whether you’re new to Bradenton or have been here for dozens of years, whether you’ve been in a long marriage, or have lost your partner or spouse, you might feel disconnected from a loving community. We’ve been around a while, so we know something about connection.

Friendship is at the heart of the Christian journey. Jesus said, “I do not call you servants any longer, because the servant does not know what the master is doing, but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father.” John 15:15

There are many ways to find new friends at Redeemer.
